Elections Course of Action

We will like to let you people know what we will be doing (with regards to the elections) in chronological order.

1. Analysis of ALL nominees

We will be requesting comments from all of you on nominees you personally know. This monday, we will also be interviewing various Rafflesians on whom they know personally and are ready to recommend. Based on our observations during their speeches and at the forum sessions, together with comments/recommendations from Rafflesians, we will publish our analyses either on Monday or Tuesday.

2. Elections Campagin

Immediately following the analyses, we will officially adopt some nominees (with reasons stated in the analyses) and will support them in their campaign, garnering votes. Do vote them! :)

3. Elections Review

Immediately following the elections, we will again be requesting opinions through this RC blog, as well as interviewing some of you in school at random.

A proposal for a revision of elections procedure based on popular consensus will then be compiled. It will be presented here on the RC blog and fine-tuned with your valuable comments and advice.

Finally, the proposal (possibly with a petition), will be submitted to the relevant people in charge.

Haha. This is totally amusing.

Actually, I wonder who you people are to comment on the nominees, or the RIPB, for that matter. "Review the nominees"? Haha. That's pretty darn amusing. As in, don't you people have better things to do than sit around a round table or group together on MSN and bitch about some lower sec people you barely know.

Actually, this blog is so totally entertaining. Please post more. The arguments you guys start are so amusing. Very entertaining. I give it five stars, because nonsense naturally equals entertainment. Eg Reality TV.

Oh by the way, I'd like to join one of your "nominee discussion" thing someday soon, preferrably before you guys move on to bitching about how biased the votes seem to be. Or something else that you guys seem to love whining about. I really need some entertainment once CT ends. CT's hell. I hope that comment won't spark another rebuttle, because that's really a waste of time. I don't like it when people waste time on me.

I really wish you guys had the bravery to put your real names down. I can't even read the profile of hoho. I love that name, but quite frankly, I'd love his real name more. Because I really do wanna the two of you in school and join in your discussion. I told you, I'm bored, I need comedy.

Anyway, let's catch up someday soon.

Lots of love,
Walter

Oh my god I'm so dumb. I found out who you were from your links! Yayyyy. How much dumber can I get. Okok that was a rhetorical question, didn't want any one of the two of you on my back, throwing some insult at me.

Ok the kick of joining your discussion isn't fun anymore. Need people who are more interesting...

well, if you're trying to make everything sound like a joke, let's just say your attempt at it is pretty pathetic. Anyway, your comment doesn't help with anything, i mean, it isn't even constructive. all you do is term this blog as 'entertaining', 'amusing', full of 'nonsense', and before you retort, please remember that what we are trying to do is give our comments and help improve the school's administration. Although some comments may be uncalled for, i believe that as a whole, this blog is definitely not 'nonsense'. I would like to request that the prefects not feel that they are beyond criticisms, as constructive criticism will only help improve matters, and that only those who have the courage to accept it will truly be distinguished.

well, i suppose you love the speeches of many nominees then? since you profess to be one who love nonsense?

you say "the kick of joining your discussion isn't fun anymore". surely you know the reason?

if you dont, i'll tell you. this blog naturally has to engage the lay Rafflesian crowd, and that was what attracted your interest. there we have succeeded.

however, because all u love is nonsense, and u can find none here (cos everything is serious), its actually not that fun anymore heh? have we failed? certainly not. This blog is targetted at people of intellect, u are out of our target audience.

and does not even know respect,
i think walter, that voting you in was a mistake.
RESPECT, you as a PREFECT should know better.
even though i do admire some of your qualities, i hope you can be more polite, and show respect, afterall, these people are trying to help the school. i am not afraid to tell you im Benjamin Tay
aka burns from tennis cca. i think you are a good cap, but i don;t think your attitude, reflects well on RIPB, let alone RI.

hi. zy here if you didn't already know. just a passing, pointless comment to gordon(gordan?).
since when did "popular consensus" matter to you?

At 8:18 PM, Blogger Kashiva said...

I'm sure some people can find things about you they hate, Toenail :)

Btw Gordie and hoho when you come up with this list, can I have a copy? Submit to planetraffles.net or just my email. Anyone will do lah.

At 9:59 PM, Blogger gordie said...

zy, as i do not intend to pursue these issues on a personal level, popular consensus is important.

even on a personal level, when involved in topics of morality, even though popular consensus is not vital, it must be taken into consideration.

kashiva, you will certainly receive a copy once we're done!

Kashiva: look here, why are you a prefect? i mean, everyone has thier faults, you cannot be friends with the world, and i was not attackign walter, i respect him as my CCAL, however, i was just asking him to show more respect in return. if every prefect was as bad as you, who goes for personal attacks, the i do not think the RIPB has any right to book students, or deserve our respect anymore. as you know, this is a place for discussion, constructive critisism, not personnal attack. i cannot understand why this is the way, you and walter react so aggresivly to comments, if you are not guilty, then you would not need to be defensive. you prefects claim to be just, upright, then you go and PUT DOWN OTHERS SARCSTICALLY AND AGGRESIVLY. i mean, consider why we voted you guys up in the first place. not because we wanted to give you the glory, but because we believed that you guys would LISTEN TO OUR COMMENTS< AND BE OUR VOICE< please, do not let the student body down.

*shrugs* Once again, I apologise for my outburst.

Blame it on anger - not the ripb. I think given sufficient antagonisation, anyone would explode.

One thing though - it's quite irritating to uphold standards all the time and get flamed when you decide to let some steam off.

Argh sorry.

At 10:17 PM, Blogger Kashiva said...

Ok let's get this straight - the tussle stops here okay? Cause up till then both of us haven't been tact and cordial and nice and all.

I apologise for my rough words. You should too.

At 10:24 PM, Blogger toenail said...

thank you khasiva for you understanding, sori for angering you.

personally, i am quite angered by walter's comments. at face value, u seem like a nice guy, approachable and all. But that's where it stops doesnt't it? u have no right to come here and put this blog down simply because u r unhappy with what it says and stands for. seeing how waltre finds this SO amusing and entertaining and all, maybe he will be back. if not gordie or hoho would u pls try to illiict a response from him? hididng behind the mask of ripb and superiourity does not make him unaccountable for what he has said.

If you care to look at it from a different perspective.

If people give unqualified statements in a rude manner, and if you reply angrily... It illicits others to blame your anger on the organisation you belong to.

At 11:34 PM, Anonymous mac_cadaver said...

okay, i agree with kashiva on this one. jus because walter made some rude, unjustified uncalled for comments, doesnt make the ripb all bad. but nevertheless, the comments were still rude unjustified and uncalled for and most certainly unbecoming of a prefect. i will leave it at that.

At 11:47 PM, Blogger Kashiva said...

I'd have to agree with that too I guess.

At 7:33 PM, Blogger toenail said...

i have to say this: if i was wearing the RIPB T-shirt, the orange one with RIPB printed on it, the one where everybody will notice, and i go out into the public places and make a fool of myself, ridiculing organizations by saying they are jokes, cutting queue, stealing, gambling, flaming government organizations, and putting down feedback forums, wouldn't the public have a bad view of RIPB as a whole and not just me( lets assume that the rest of the RIPB are good model characters)? it is the natural response to assioate bad actions to the organization, esp if the organization is elite.
